Luv(sic) Part 4 是整個系列的轉折點，也是樂迷每次重聽都會停下來想很久的一首。Nujabes 於 2010 年 2 月 26 日在東京一場車禍中離世，享年 36 歲。Part 4 在 2011 年發行，是他離開後第一首面世的 Luv(sic) 章節，由 Shing02 與 Hydeout Productions 依照 Nujabes 生前留下的素材整理完成。換句話說，這首歌的誕生過程，本身就是一封寫給已不在的合作夥伴的信。
歌詞從這首開始明顯轉向。Part 1 到 Part 3 的「愛」還是寫給戀人、寫給音樂、寫給自然，到了 Part 4，Shing02 開始把這封信寄向另一個維度——那個合作十年、無法再回信的人。文字裡的「you」既是當初的戀人、也是音樂、也是 Nujabes 本人。這種多重指涉是 Shing02 在後三部裡持續使用的手法，把哀悼包裹在情書的外殼裡。
製作層面上，Hydeout Productions 在處理這首時刻意保留了 Nujabes 標誌性的爵士採樣語法、鋼琴反覆動機與輕拍鼓組，讓整首聽起來像 Part 1-3 的延續，而非新人接手後的全新作品。這個製作選擇本身就是一種語氣——讓 Nujabes 的聲音以另一種方式繼續存在。Part 4 的歌詞用十二個月份串起整年的循環，這個結構在 Shing02 手上不只是修辭遊戲，而是一種把時間重新接上的儀式。
